Manchester United has announced that midfielder Kobbie Mainoo will be sidelined for "a few weeks" due to a muscle injury. The 19-year-old sustained the injury late in the goalless draw against Aston Villa on October 6, which also ruled him out of England's Nations League matches this month.
In a similar update, defender Harry Maguire will also be unavailable for a few weeks with a muscle issue.
On a positive note for manager Erik ten Hag ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash against Brentford, full-back Noussair Mazraoui and wingers Alejandro Garnacho and Amad Diallo have all returned to training after missing international matches.
Additionally, Manuel Ugarte completed a recovery session following his return from international duty with Uruguay.
Manchester United confirmed that Luke Shaw and Mason Mount are both making steady progress in their rehabilitation. Meanwhile, long-term absentee Tyrell Malacia has continued his recovery by participating in the initial part of a group training session.
