Paul Pogba Clarifies 'Doping Ban' Controversy in Exclusive Tell-All Interview Ahead of His Return to Football.
Paul Pogba asserts he is not a 'cheater' and takes full responsibility for his failed doping test, which led to a four-year ban from football.
Paul Pogba's ban has been cut from four years to 18 months following a successful appeal at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), enabling him to return to the field in March 2025.
In a revealing interview, the 31-year-old midfielder insisted he has "never taken performance-enhancing drugs" and stressed that any violations were unintentional. "I’m not a cheater," he declared, taking full responsibility for his failed doping test.
Pogba admitted he "didn't triple check" the substances he used, resulting in a positive test for dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) during the first game of the 2023/24 season. He clarified that the products he consumed were merely "supplements—normal things to improve health."
When asked to reassure his fans of his integrity, he confidently stated, "When you see me, you know me. People know me."
Though he remains a Juventus player, Pogba's future is in question, with speculation about potential moves to Ligue 1 in France or even to the United States as he prepares for his return to competitive football.
